Knitting Stories, Mandalas & Bowls

Joni and Sylvia Olsen invite you to spend a weekend retreat together telling stories and designing and creating exquisite, unique mandalas and/or bowls. The Lodge provides a beautiful, life-affirming haven away from it all where you can relax, learn and imagine.

Joni is a 4th generation Coast Salish knitter. She learned to knit the traditional way. She lived with knitters and as a little girl when she picked up needles she knew how to make stitches. She is a policy analyst and negotiator for the WSANEC Leadership Council.

Sylvia, Joni's mom, began knitting as a young girl and has been knitting with Coast Salish knitters since she married Joni's dad at 17. She is a knitting designer and author of many books including Knitting Stories and Working With Wool. Sylvia is a story teller and eats and sleeps all things knitting.
